January 4   The truth about him

Some of you may know that my dad gave a puppy as a late birthday present back in July 22nd. When he gave it to me, he said it was a maltipoo teacup, that’s why my mom let me keep it, because she doesn’t likes animals and we live on a small apartment, so a teacup was perfect for us, so she said yes. I named him Colbie. Eventually, Colbie started growing, and my mom was sick of him. 5 months later we moved to another apartment, but while we were cleaning the old one, Colbie was living there for like a week, and my mom proposed something:

Mom: “If we donate or give Colbie to someone with a bigger house, I will buy you whatever you want.”

Me: “Whatever?! Even a MacBook or a new computer?!”

Mom: “Yes. I’m willing to do whatever for you to get rid of Colbie.”

Me: :O

This kinda makes me want to get rid of him, and not because of the computer, but because I think is kinda selfish to be like “No. He is mine. He is not going anywhere. I don’t care if he has to live on a box.” lol not so selfish, but yeah. ]Oh, because FYI, Colbie is not allowed to get inside the house, only to my bedroom, and with the door closed so he doesn’t go to my mom’s room, kitchen, living room…

But at the same time I don’t want to, because the look he gives me when look at him, is just, ahh! Can’t explain it! If you have a dog, you should know what I mean. Colbie is also my first dog ever, so I guess that counts too.

I don’t know what to do!!

Advice anyone?

P.S.: Colbie says hi.

Colbie when he was like, 5 months old. He’s 8 now.

Haha well my mum doesn’t ask me about what I put on the internet anymore. I think she thinks I’m old enough to know well and not to do dumb things with my photos. XD

I sing when I’m alone because no one else can hear me. There’s no harm! ^^

Yeah, I guess he was trying to be tough despite what was happening with him at home. I found out that he was actually a very nice guy once you got to talk to him.

Colbie is so adorable. I can understand why a pet might be too much trouble, which is why your mum proposed the idea. I think that you should make the decision, but what is most important is that he goes to a good home, whatever you do.

I would give anything to have a pet, and I know some people are so close to their pets. My boyfriend is sooo close to his dog. I used to have pets but we couldn’t afford them and I was so sad to give them to another owner but I’m sure they have a wonderful home now. :)

If you love Colbie, forget what your mum says. You can promise to take care of him and show her you love him. Some people’s pets are their best friends.

I think that it’s a good deal that your mom is trying to make with you but then again your dog is your dog, it’s kind of like a human. I’m sure that he loves you and would miss you if you had to give it away. At the same time a macbook is a good deal. I know if my mom made a deal to get me a macbook if I gave away my cat, I wouldn’t take the laptop, I really love my cat.

In the end it is up to you, do what you want to do! :)

Good luck! Have a great day.

awhhh! I feel so bad! It’s a hard decision because it’s bad for him to be cooped up in a room all the time, but you don’t want to get rid of him cause it’s your puppy. If my mom made me give up my puppy I think I’d feel too guilty to take the gift. But it’s totally up to you and how you feel in the end

Colbie’s adorable! So that’s why you’re having a hard time letting go of him! But I do agree in a way that you let go of him, at least there’s an advantage for him to have a better home and you getting whatever you want, right? :)

Happy 2010!
